CG Series Cord Grips:

Used with portable cords
These watertight fittings are designed to protect conductors from mechanical damage due to vibration and movement while sealing out oils, coolants, water, dust, etc.

CG cord grips are installed to:

provide a means for passing a cord into an enclosure
form a watertight seal for cord
provide pullout protection for cord, ensuring a secure connection

Look at the photo carefully

The view shows one fully assembled and one disassembled.
The left is a male 3/4 inch and will thread into a 3/4 fitting connection.
The bushing is Black and stamped with 96 22
The Compression nut and gland washer will probably fit the 1″ insulated cord, possibly over pvc conduit.
The bushing will be tight.
The Nut and Back-off are 1 1/2 or 1 5/8 inch.
The assembled length is 2 3/8 inches.
This is a solid heavy duty item. Individually it weighs 8.4 ounces each.

This item is unusual because it seems perform double duty as a reducer bushing and liquid tight tensioner.
While doing research, I found nothing regarding a 3/4 inch with black bushing.
Sort of a cross between Crouse Hinds CG75 and CG150
Loose in the box was instructions for CG Series Fittings Installation, so this may be a WAG.
It may be an obsolete item, a special order, or intended as a component for industrial lighting fixtures.
