Some truck engines will utilize a fan clutch which threads onto the water pump instead of bolting to the pump flange. J-41240 is used with 1/2″ drive breaker bar for removal and to achieve proper torque during installation
One reference indicates it is a special tool for GM trucks.

It is 1/2″ drive x (roughly) 1 3/8″ crow’s foot attachment . It is a little thinner than a standard crow’s foot, so it will fit in a narrow space while spanning the retaining nut.
