Thinkpad XD’s use two different types of ram batteries. One is the type described here and has a 2 pin connector. The other type is a round battery with a 3 pin connector. Make certain you are ordering the right battery for your laptop, as we do not accept returns on this item.
The Thinkpad ram battery, also called a cmos battery, holds the date and time in memory if the laptop has no valid power source – like unplugged when your main battery is dead or bad.
