Waters your plants while you are away

This is a neat handy product. The fabric mat absorbs water from a reservoir. Capillary action transports moisture to your plants. You don’t need to drown the roots by setting the pots water. I have used it on orchid growing racks to manage the watering schedule and buffer humidity extremes caused by heat and air conditioning.
Outside, small pieces added to potting mix of hanging baskets and pots help reduce stress from soil drying too quickly. Cut into strips and inserted through pots, it acts like a wick to pull moisture into the root zone. It does not swell and heave the plants out of the pot as many of the crystal soil additives do.
