MD Cross Reference

This auction is for an assortment of wool yarn for crewel and embroidery.
Most of it is 3 ply in mini skeins of 8.8 meters to 12 meters. There are a few skeins of 2 ply that is very soft.

The brands are mainly MDE and Perl Luster.
The banding identifies it as Persian, 100% Laine wool. Nearly all of it was imported from England.
In the photo, there are roughly 60 banded skeins. Some colors are duplicated and some skeins are not complete, but most are.
There are also several loosely knotted skeins pre-cut in roughly 18″ lengths of unidentified yarn, probably of similar quality.

I bought this at an estate sale and have no idea of the age of the yarn. Color and dye lots are probably obsolete.

They were stored in plastic bags by color tones. After they were photographed, I replaced them in bags to keep them neat, clean, and organized.
If you have questions, please ask. I was trying to minimize handling so created one large lot of the assorted yarns.
Together, they loosely fill a USPS Shoebox, and weigh about 1 ½ lbs.
