The padded shoulder straps attach to the sides of the belt, where they will not interfere with items attached to or supported at the front of the belt. Black elastic attaches the lower back of the suspenders to the belt to give a little flex to help prevent fatigue when carrying loads. There are elastic loops conveniently attached on the right side for cargo (would be excellent for tools or water bottles). There is an adjustable snap across the chest to keep the suspenders from sliding down off the shoulders. The straps are strong woven nylon. Adjustment points and quick release buckles are plastic.
The overall design and adjustment points are well planned. Similar items are used by back packers, photographers, surveyors, medical and fire fighting personnel to transport their equipment over rough terrain or in confined spaces.
