This listing is for ½ hide of heavy weight leather.

It is smooth and free from blemishes and brands.
It does have 217 pressed into the edge on one of the smaller areas. (Probably an automatic sequence number during processing.) 2350 has been pencilled on the reverse in the same area.

This should be a fantastic piece for tooling and saddle making.

It is similar to the russet color shown from Tandy in the “Live Oak Saddle Skirting”.

I don’t know exactly how to measure and calculate the total area on this piece of leather. The tape measure in the photo was stopped at 89 inches (with room to spare). The yard stick is a full 36 inches long. A conservative estimate would be 21 square feet. The unpacked weight is 15 lbs.12 oz. The average weight per square foot is roughly 12 ounces. There would be some variance, depending on the location on the hide, some would be heavier, some lighter.
